Neal Oliver

Neal Oliver is a Principal Engineer at Intel, working to define 5G and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) solutions architectures and realize their deployment in the marketplace. He has led numerous projects in simulation and modeling, performance characterization, wireless communication technology, and accelerators, and holds 14 patents.

Neal led the development of the ETSI IMS performance benchmarking standard, and contributed to the ETSI Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) Industry Specification Group. He also led the specification of middleware and APIs in the Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum (ECTF).

Prior to Intel, Neal worked at Dialogic and Bell Laboratories, where he led software development of signal processing systems used for radar, sonar and speech processing by the Department of Defense.

Neal has a PhD in Computer Science from New York University, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, and a BS in Mathematics from Michigan State University.
