David Witkowski is a wireless and telecommunications industry veteran. After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, and earning his BSEE from University of California - Davis, he held managerial and leadership roles for companies ranging from Fortune 500 multi-nationals to early-stage startups. David is Executive Director of the Wireless Communications Initiative at Joint Venture Silicon Valley (www.jointventure.org/wireless), and the CEO of Oku Solutions LLC (www.okuso lutions.com). He serves as an Adviser to the Carnegie Institute of Technology Dean's Council, as a Member of the UC D avis Industrial Affiliates Council, as a Member of the CTIA Innovation Council, as a Member of the 21st Century Communications Infrastructure Committee of the Bay Area Council, and is a Senior Member of both the IEEE and the Radio Club of America.
David is the author of "Bridging the Gap: 21st Century Wireless Telecommunications" (Joint Venture Silicon Valley, 2016), co-author of "Carrier & Public Wi-Fi" (Mobile Experts LLC - 2015), and co-author of "Evaluation of RF Network Testing" (Anritsu, Bird Technologies, CommScope, & Motorola - 2013). A noted author and public speaker, David has writ ten feature articles for IEEE Microwaves Magazine, CIO Review, MissionCritical Communications, EETimes, Make:Magazine, QST, Urgent Communications, and RCR Wireless. David has spoken and moderated panels at the CDX Global Forum, APCO, I WCE, CTIA, TC3, ESC, IEEE International Microwave Symposium, Wireless West, IIT Bombay Heritage Fund, MIT Club of Northern California, Alberta Wireless Connections, RCA Technical Symposium, and ConnectivityWeek.
